The research Master « Physique et Applications » is a high-level scientific graduate formation aiming to provide students with a broad spectrum of knowledge in all aspects of Physics, including modelization or experimental skills, as well as an initiation to research work. This training period opens up the way for a PhD thesis preparation in a academic or industrial research laboratory. After the PhD defense, positions can be obtained in industrial R&D departments or in academic research laboratories.
Master 1
The M1 year corresponds to the 3rd year (année 3) in the Polytechnique curriculum. The Department of Physics also proposes a M1 year entirely taught in english: Physics for optics and nanosciences.
