The thematic cluster 'Condensed Matter, Materials, Energy' covers the classical subjects of Condensed Matter Physics as well as their interfaces with other disciplines (chemistry, life sciences, engineering, mechanics). The participating teams come from the laboratories LSI, PICM, PMC, and CPHT. Members teach in the second year programmes in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Energy for the XXI century, and Geophysics.
